Fall Is Callin’ x Mel Bae

Although I hate to type this or even say it out loud it’s time for the fact to be stated …

SUMMER IS ENDING

(Kim K tears just never get old by the way)

But honestly if you’re anything like me you’re kinda sorta over the whole 90+ degrees and humidity on a hunnid thing going on in NYC so.. Bring on the Fall weather!!

At the end of every summer season I find myself getting so impatient to wear all my new Fall clothes that I’ve been lowkey stocking up on for the past few weeks. But it’s either I respect Mother Nature’s transition of the seasons.. or die of heat.

Mother Nature, I put some #respeck on your name but I won’t let you fully win.

So I took a little trip to Brooklyn Bridge Park in an outfit that still let me survive in the Summer heat but satisfied my Fall outfit craving.

Dress and J’s? Some people are totally against the duo of feminine pieces w/ sporty accents but hey.. You Do What You Want When You’re Poppin’

Silk dresses are everything right now. But they could be a little iffy to wear in the extreme Summer heat because sweat marks + silk is never a good look. So this little number is perfect to rock heading into the Fall season!

And do plaid button downs ever go out of style? A solid plaid button down has always been a staple in my closet. You could literally throw it over anything and your look is completed. It’s also the perfect piece to dress down your outfit if you’re looking for a chiller vibe.

When it comes to sneakers I am no sneaker head. But I do know when I see a nice pair of Jordans I absolutely need in my life, I will get them. Thank god for my sneaker plug that made magic happen & saving me a pair of these Jordan XII’s the day the came out.  I could literally count the amount of times I wore these on one hand because I really get some sick satisfaction of just looking at them vs actually wearing them. But I decided today was the perfect day to pull these bad boys out.

Now let’s talk accessories because they work wonders in making or breaking your outfit. My fave accessory right now hands down has to be the choker, it’s the easiest way for me to go from adorable to badass and is a major key in my everyday attire. This cute little choker has dangling faux pearl, bringing that feminine feel w/ a cool edge. I paired this up w a cute gold chain I found while wandering the streets of SoHo for that added layered look and my rose gold Michael Kors watch that I refuse to let go because my skin + this watch = greatness.

And without sweating my life away, I got my Fall outfit fix while dealing w/ the major humidity of the summer.
